Director of Public Programs

Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers and Native Plants  Sun Valley, CA

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Pubic Programs team in developing and implementing a diverse range of public engagement initiatives, including classes, events, campaigns, and volunteering opportunities.

  • Proactively identify and pursue funding opportunities to strengthen the sustainability of public programs, including grant applications, reporting, and management.

  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with respected entities, including nonprofits, government bodies, media platforms, corporations, and influential stakeholders.

  • Coordinate the seamless execution of the countywide Native Plant Garden Tour, an esteemed annual event spanning two days and showcasing over 40 gardens across the greater Los Angeles area since its inception in 2003.

  • Ensure effective management of regular organizational communications to the general public, including newsletters and social media content.


2021-2023

Senior Design Manager

Age of Learning  Glendale, CA

  • Oversaw the development and launch of the Age of Learning Brand Resource Center, a new Data Asset Management tool to house brand assets for all Age of Learning employees and partners—which involved finding solutions and managing progress to ensure the project met company objectives and deadlines.

  • Played a central role in the rollout of the refreshed corporate branding, including design presentations for senior leadership, drafting a plan for company-wide implementation, and ongoing follow-up with colleagues from other departments to support implementation on behalf of the Brand team.

  • Worked with the Curriculum team to ensure the integrity of all printed learning materials.


2018 - 2021

Art Department Producer

Technicolor Creative Studios  Culver City, CA

  • Daily management and oversight of creative team—assessing needs and helping to remove barriers to accomplishing tasks and provided interpretation of creative notes to the team.

  • Grew and maintained client relationships, negotiating Statements of Work and project timelines with Producers, Directors, Art Directors, Supervisors, and Production Managers throughout each project.

  • Built relationships and collaborated with other teams inter-departmentally and across different Technicolor subsidiaries and outside creative teams.

  • Generated, tracked, and reported on bids, budgets, revenue, forecasts, resource management, and artist assignments.

  • Worked with the Systems department to ensure that hardware, software, and networking needs were met.


2016-2018

  • Management of Design Services’ departmental budget.

  • Hire and oversee staff, freelancers, vendors, and interns, including illustrators, printers, web developers, photographers, typographers, and copywriters.

  • Collaborate with partner companies’ marketing and design groups.
